The modern temple was re-built in the period from 2009 to 2015 according to the Uralgipromez project. The construction was carried via donations, including large sums from entrepreneurs. The work was done at reduced prices and even free of charge.

The park was founded in 1908 by Alexander Vladimirovich Zanuzzi and was opened in 1913 in the year of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. In 1937, the park was named after A.S. Pushkin. The theater was founded in 1944 from part of the troupe of the Ivanovo Mobile Theater, actors from Perm and artists from other evacuated cities.
